Our Wood Selection

Each sauna project has its own priorities - some stand out for their functionality and bathing experience, while others value aesthetics and decoration more. In our selection, we guarantee carefully chosen woods for both needs. We select woods that don't overheat or release resin onto the benches, ensuring comfort and safety. For the interior of the sauna, we offer materials that are resistant to heat and humidity, guaranteeing durability and thermal efficiency.

European Poplar
Poplar is a deciduous tree from the willow family, common in Europe, parts of Asia and North Africa. It is an ideal material for saunas due to its lack of resin, splinter-free surface and ability to stay cool. Its light color and smooth texture make it a very appealing choice, and it's also easy to paint.

We offer a variety of sauna elements in natural and thermally modified poplar.

Available finishes: Natural, Medium Thermo

Alder
Alder, also known simply as black alder, is a hardy deciduous tree from the birch family that grows throughout Europe, southwest Asia and northern Africa. Known for its reddish hue and smooth texture, alder is a popular choice for sauna finishes.

It is resistant to heat and humidity and does not overheat, making it perfect for sauna interiors. We offer a variety of alder sauna materials, with finishes including thermally modified and brushed options.

Available finishes: Thermally modified, Brushed

Radiata Pine
Radiata pine is a fast-growing conifer native to the west coast of North America, and is also found in New Zealand, Australia and some regions of Europe. Its uniform quality and rapid growth make it one of the most widely cultivated pine species.

This wood does not splinter, does not release resin and does not overheat, making it an excellent choice for sauna benches. Its natural pattern is enhanced by the brushed finish, while the thermal modification gives it a darker tone.

Available finishes: Natural, Thermally Modified

Magnolia
Magnolia, also known as tulip tree, grows mainly in central and eastern North America. This wood has a creamy golden tone with darker veins, often similar to ash and radiata pine in terms of texture.

Its low density and unique pattern make it ideal for sauna applications. Thermal modification darkens the wood, creating an elegant and exclusive finish that further enhances its luxurious appearance.

Available finishes: Thermally Modified, Natural

Cedro Vermelho do Oeste
Western red cedar, an evergreen tree from the cypress family, is native to the western regions of North America. Known for its intense aroma and beautiful reddish hue, it is perfect for saunas thanks to its resistance to resin release, overheating and its water-repellent properties.

Cedar's variety of natural tones adds to its appeal, making it a popular choice for sauna interiors.

Available finish: Natural

Nordic spruce
O Nordic spruceEuropean spruce, also known as European fir, is an evergreen conifer native to northern, central and eastern Europe. Renowned for its light, almost white wood with a subtle yellowish tinge, this type of wood is widely used in construction and exterior cladding, and is also an excellent choice for exterior sauna walls.

Its natural pattern can be enhanced by the brushed finish, making it even more attractive.

Available finishes: Natural, Brushed

The Advantages of Thermally Modified Wood

Our advanced thermal modification process improves the natural properties of wood using only heat and steam - no chemicals and no compromises. This ecological treatment enhances both the structure and aesthetics of the wood, making it the ideal choice for sauna environments.
