General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all transactions with Saunamo / Nordic Homesteads LDA, identified by tax number PT517939126, with registered office at Rua Hermano Neves, Nº 18, Piso 3, Escritório 7, V2474, 1600-477 Lisboa, Portugal.
By making a purchase with Saunamo, the customer agrees to these terms, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Parties involved
Supplier: Saunamo / Nordic Homesteads LDA, NIF PT517939126, Rua Hermano Neves, Nº 18, Piso 3, Escritório 7, V2474, 1600-477 Lisboa, Portugal.
Customer: Natural or legal person who places an order with the Supplier.
Applicability
All transactions are governed by these terms and conditions. For matters not covered by these terms, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) will automatically apply.
Evidence and Documentation
Before placing an order, it is assumed that the Customer has consulted all the relevant documentation available on the Saunamo website, including product descriptions, technical specifications and assembly instructions. This includes all materials sent to the Customer by other means, such as e-mail or telephone. The Customer must keep copies of all communications and documents relating to the order.
Cancellation policy:
14-day cancellation period: The Customer has 14 days from the date of the order to request cancellation and receive a full refund.
Cancellation After 14 Days: If the Customer cancels after 14 days, no refund will be issued, as production will have already started, incurring costs.
Post-Shipment Cancellations: Cancellations made after the product has been shipped will incur a restocking fee of 25% of the product price.
Returns: The Customer must return the product in its original condition and packaging. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the Customer. Refunds will only be issued upon receipt of the item. If the product is not in its original condition, the refund does not apply.
Conditions:
All requests for cancellation must be made in writing. This policy does not affect your legal rights relating to defective or misdescribed products.

Delivery
Estimated delivery dates are given at the time of ordering, subject to stock availability. Shipping costs are separate from the price of the product. The Customer must ensure its availability at the time of delivery, any additional costs due to its absence being borne by the Customer. Products must be inspected on delivery, with defects or missing parts reported within 10 days. Claims do not release payment obligations.
Payment Methods
Advance and Final Payment: An advance payment of 40% is required to confirm the order, with the balance due before delivery via bank transfer, credit card or cryptocurrency.
Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with the payment terms will result in interest being charged in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Conformity and guarantee against defects
The Customer must ensure that the technical descriptions of the product meet its needs, reporting any non-conformity within 10 days of receipt. The Supplier offers a 2-year guarantee against defects in the wooden structures, subject to specific conditions: The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not include natural wear and tear caused by the elements. This includes the expansion and contraction of wood, which shrinks and expands when subjected to heat and humidity. The Customer is responsible for properly treating the materials against rot, mold, insects, humidity, heat and other elements. The warranty does not cover defects resulting from installations carried out by third parties not recommended by the Supplier. The Customer must provide proof of the defect through photos, videos or live demonstration. The warranty is activated only after sufficient proof that the defect is due to a manufacturing error. The Customer must present the product's serial number to activate the warranty. The warranty is intended to remedy any manufacturing defects. The product will only be fully replaced if it is deemed unusable. The warranty claim process is initiated by contacting the Supplier in writing and providing proof of the manufacturing defect. The Supplier reserves the right to process the warranty claim within 12 months of receipt.
Sale Resolution for Non-Conformity
The Supplier reserves the right to terminate the sale if the Customer fails to comply with the obligations after notification.
Final Provisions
Copyright: Drawings or installation documents remain the exclusive property of the Supplier.
Data Protection: The processing of personal data complies with the GDPR.
Jurisdiction: Disputes shall be settled in the courts located in the jurisdiction of the Supplier's registered office.
Price fluctuations: Prices may vary due to raw material markets, allowing the Supplier and Customer to submit and accept new prices or cancel transactions.
Building Regulations: The Supplier assumes no responsibility for obtaining building permits or for compliance with local building regulations. All necessary permits must be obtained by the Customer before the Supplier is instructed to facilitate installation. Customers are strongly advised to seek local advice and guidance on building regulations prior to installation.
Assembly: The Supplier is not responsible for problems related to assembly, except for installation defects directly related to the item purchased. All technical teams employed by the Supplier for installation are responsible for their own insurance, covering accidents related to installation.
Storage: Additional fees apply after two months of free storage, with a maximum storage duration of 6 months.
These terms govern all transactions between Saunamo and its Clients, ensuring clarity and fairness in our commercial relations.
